A tiny‑magical world built one jumper at a time
I didn’t start out as a spider person.
In late 2024, I was actually a little afraid of them — the kind of person who admired jumping spiders from a safe distance on Facebook, but never imagined keeping one. Then one day, a tiny canopy jumper appeared in my bathroom. We named her Eleanor, and she changed everything.
I decided to set up a little enclosure for her, thinking I’d keep her for a couple of weeks. By the time I had everything ready, Eleanor had moved on… but the spark she lit stayed. I ordered my first Regal girl, and that was the beginning.
One became three. Three became many. And now I keep 16+ jumpers and am an active breeder.
I also started building homes for my spiders. As my collection grew, so did my love for creating beautiful, functional habitats. I realized I wasn’t just making enclosures — I was building tiny worlds where these curious, expressive little creatures could feel safe, enriched, and adored.
The Purple Spood is my way of sharing that magic.

You’ll also find blank enclosures ready for your creativity, as well as decorated habitats inspired by forests, cozy nooks, and whimsical themes. Every piece is crafted with care, intention, and a deep appreciation for the tiny explorers who live in them.
